Ecoparaiso, an extensive visit to the Amazon Paradise

Upon arrival in Puerto Maldonado, the Biodiversity Capital of Peru, we will welcome you at the airport. Then, we will start our program with a bus tour of the city.

Afterwards, we will go to Puerto Capitanía, to embark on a motorized boat, and we will navigate the Bajo Madre de Dios River. During the trip, we will immerse ourselves in a fascinating natural environment, hopefully we will observe Ronsocos, Alligators, Turtles, Herons, Cormorants and other species of animals.

At our lodge, you will be greeted with delicious Amazonian tropical fruit nectar, and taken to your comfortable room (bungalow). A succulent lunch will await you in our cozy dining room with a rustic design.

Once your palate is satisfied, you will be led by our specialized guide through a conveniently signposted interpretive trail towards Cocha Caimán, a small lagoon with an abundant presence of specimens of black caiman (Melanosuchus niger) and white caiman (Caiman crocodilus).

At the end of the afternoon, back at the lodge and from the bank of the river, you will witness the spectacular sunset in the Amazon, an experience full of colors in welcoming ranges and intensities.

In the evening, a delicious dinner will await you, and you will have free time to share unforgettable moments in our bar, equipped with an excellent board games room and stocked with all the drinks you can imagine.

LAKE APU VICTOR
After breakfast, we will begin a walk into the depths of the forest, along specially prepared trails, with bridges to cross the streams and rivers.

During the walk we will observe the flooded forest and a variety of flora and fauna and continuing, we will reach the majestic APU VICTOR LAKE, with crystal clear waters, surrounded by immense swamps and gigantic trees.

Afterwards, we will go up to the AMAZON VIEWPOINT, from which we will enjoy a panoramic view over the lake, observing Parrots, Macaws, Toucans, Camungos, Shanshos (Hoatzin which is a type of wild chicken with a prehistoric appearance), Herons and other animals, such as Alligators , Turtles, etc., and if luck is with us, we will be able to observe the Giant Otter; one of the most spectacular animals in the jungle.

Back at the lodge, a refreshing lunch will await you.

MONKEY ISLAND
In the afternoon, accompanied by our specialized guide, we will visit Monkey Island; a unique place in the heart of the Madre de Dios River, five minutes away from the hostel. During the walk, we will observe extraordinary landscapes, with exuberant flora, sheltering a variety of species of monkeys in their natural habitat, such as Maquisapa, Capuchino, Leoncillo, Fraile and with luck other species of animals, such as the Coati and Sloth Bears as well as a great variety of birds.

Finally, we will complete our visit to the island, enjoying the sunset, with the most impressive sunset in the jungle. Then, we will return to the lodge and conclude the day with a pleasant dinner.

LOST CAR
After breakfast, we will begin an adventure through the virgin jungle, and accompanied by a local guide, we will take a walk in the deep jungle, to reach the Cocha Perdida, which constitutes an ecosystem that shelters and feeds an immense variety of animals. There, we will have the opportunity to observe Otters, Alligators, Turtles, Sachavacas (Tapires), Birds with multicolored plumage, the majestic Jaguar and a variety of fish species. This area is unique and belongs to the Ecoamazonía Ecological Reserve (Geographical location map) that keeps it intact, with immense swamps and various aguajales.

Then, we will arrive at the extraordinary AMAZON VIEWPOINT, from which we can appreciate the immense and magical jungle. Afterwards, we will take a pleasant canoe ride around the lake and return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, we can make an optional visit to the local Botanical Garden or if you prefer, you will have the option of relaxing by the Amazon Pool. At night, we will have dinner and rest, surrounded by the sounds of the jungle.

Back at the lodge, you can enjoy an exquisite dinner. If your body allows it, you will enjoy a fun night in our bar.

GAMITANA RIVER
After breakfast, we will begin another excursion through the magical Amazon jungle, sailing along the Madre de Dios River, until we reach the GAMITANA or BRIOLO RIVER where you can have fun in a refreshing experience. You will be able to swim in its waters in complete safety and carry out sport fishing activities. You will also have the opportunity to observe birds, alligators, turtles and the majestic panorama of the Madre de Dios River and with a visit to a local family dedicated to agriculture in the middle of the jungle. on the banks of the river.

Its impressive meandering forms extensive navigable channels, through which we will return to the lodge, once again closely observing animals such as turtles, alligators, birds and a wide variety of insects.

In the afternoon, free to take photography around the lodge, also the possibility of visiting the botanical garden and observing our medicinal and fruit plants.

In the evening you can enjoy an exquisite farewell dinner. If your body allows it, you will enjoy a fun night in our bar and say goodbye to friends.
